  1. You need dance experience in order to participate in dance fitness classes. This could not be more wrong. In fact, half the fun of these classes is not having a clue what you’re doing! Dance fitness is less about getting every single step correct at the exact right time, but more about learning the right techniques. You will have an instructor at the front of the class at all times leading you every step of the way. And just like with any other fitness class, the more often you attend, the better you understand what to do and the more comfortable you feel.
  2. Running will get you a far better workout. With very little rest time between tracks, dance fitness classes keep you on the move ensuring your workout is just as effective as going on a long run or doing interval sprints. Who wouldn’t want to burn as many calories as you would with a long run, but while having MUCH more fun?!
