Gumtree.co.za has today announced that they will be temporarily reverting to their classic design, following important user feedback.
Director-GM Johan Nel has said that the company realized that the newly redesigned site had some issues pertaining to the site speed that may have affected the user experience. “At the end of the day, we have to listen to our customers, many of whom rely on Gumtree to fuel their businesses.”
Nel says that no data that has been uploaded to the site since the redesign in April will be lost.
“It was not an easy decision but one that was absolutely best for our customers,” states Nel. “The previous version of the site will run while we ensure our new features operate exactly as intended.”
A 24/7 customer service help desk will be available to answer any questions and concerns.
